Counselling is a one-to-one talking therapy with the potential to help you to create the awareness to empower and help yourself to do what’s right for you.

What counselling offers?

– A safe environment in which to talk about your problems.

– Time to confidentially explore feelings, behaviours, thoughts and what you want.

– Space in which you can safely explore past experiences to gain a better understanding of how thoughts, feelings and behaviours affect everyday living.

– Time to think and find some new perspectives in your life.

– Working with a professional who listens and supports you to help yourself and take charge of your life.

How can counselling help?

Counselling helps with many issues including:

  • bereavement and loss
  • illness
  • relationships
  • stress
  • low moods
  • self-esteem
  • managing anxiety
  • coping with change
  • difficulties at work or at home
  • self-confidence

What you can expect?

As an Integrative Counsellor I use a variety of evidence based approaches and techniques which I link and blend to adapt to each client to work with a unique therapy which flows to suit your needs.

Sometimes life can be difficult and I offer you the opportunity to explore and understand what is creating your difficulty to help you find a resolution or ways of coping.  The first session gives us the opportunity to explore the issues you want to work on and for you decide if you feel you want to work with me.  Sessions are face to face and usually weekly.

I offer adult individual brief (6 – 8 sessions) or longer term therapy.  We will regularly review our work together to ensure it is what best suits your needs.  We will agree the number of sessions and in our work will review when an ending is right for you.
